My sister, who is an architect and lives in San Francisco, called me a few weeks ago with exciting news - one of her favorite store chains just opened its first location in the west coast.
And that, lucky us, is right next to Union Square in San Francisco!
My sister claims that most of their designs are modern and quite cool, and that their prices are great.
Well, it took us some time to get there, being busy with our great summer vacation, but we finally had the chance to hit the store last week.
CB2 is "a new destination from Crate and Barrel that dials up the fun. Smart designs, clever materials, Neat stuff, cool colors." (from CB2/about us page). Indeed, the store is filled with unique cute designs of everything for the home - kitchenware, furniture for every room in the house, furniture for the office and much more.
Its location is very convenient, on 34 Ellis Street not far from Market st. and Union Square. However, if you live too far, or don't feel like leaving home, you can also order online - CB2 ships to almost everywhere even outside the U.S.
I was at the store yesterday and bought 3 wall vases.
It's a GREAT store.
