Crossbody handbags for shopping and traveling

Last winter I joined my spouse on a short visit to New York city.
He had some business matters to attend and I, obviously, spent most of my free time exploring the city and especially its great shops and galleries.
It was very cold but I was prepared. I had my warmest coat, gloves, a hat and my favorite black and white hobo handbag.
While still at the airport I realized that the handbag was a huge mistake. Pulling out and putting in my purse several times during the check-in and security process was annoying mostly because I had to take off my handbag from my shoulder and then put it back on. Keeping my boarding pass handy was challenging too.
During my long walks in NYC streets, my handbag tended to slide down because my shoulder was wrapped and puffed with my coat.
When I was exploring and searching for the unique gems among all hangers, shelfs and pegs in stores, my bag kept sliding from my shoulder and ruining my shopping experience.
After returning back from that trip, I decided I needed a new handbag - a crossbody handbag for my next trips. I decided to try Macy's for that - they carry a great variety of handbags, for almost any purpose and occasion you can think of. They also carry all my favorite brands.
At the travel bags shelf I found Kipling bags with a great selection of colors and sizes. After a short debate with myself I chose the black "New Rita" bag in medium size - $72.
It wasn't so easy to choose, there are several solid colors, sizes and colorful patterns. I chose the most common color, which fits any sportively/casual outfit and the medium size, which gives me enough space to carry all my usual stuff plus a book and a small bottle of water.
I also need a crossbody handbag not just for traveling, but also for shopping. This one can be smaller, more colorful and definitely more stylish.
It wasn't hard to find - it was hard to choose.
