A fancy party apparel

One of our girlfriends just hosted a big and fancy family party. There were many preparations - hiring a caterer and a florist, choosing the right music, sending out the invitations, etc. Finally, only one huge question was left open - what was she going to wear??? And, as we all know, girls - this is what the party is all about, right...?

Well, looking forward to a proper shopping spree, we happily came to her help. It was a major task, you can probably understand that we definitely had to explore every boutique, apparel shop and department store in the neighborhood. Our friend, who usually dresses very sportively/casually, wanted an upgrade on the one hand, but, on the other hand, still wanted to "be herself".

You can read about our explorations and discoveries in our future articles. This time we will just show you what she eventually wore: She has black hair and a very light complexion, so she doesn't look good in most of the light colors. So, she picked a black halter dress, "Marylin Monroe" style . It goes perfectly with her colors.

Those are very trendy this year and come in all types - evening shoes, pumps, flats and so on. It was so much better than just black shoes! It gave her whole outfit a lift and a twist. She doesn't feel very comfortable in very high heels, so evening sandals were out of the question. We compromised on a pair of elegant pumps with, what I call, a "French" charm.

After that, we just needed the jewelry. We found the cutest black&white bracelet in (surprise, surprise.....) the white house and black market store.

Needless to say - she looked absolutely fantastic.
